Subject: is it sun glory?

here are some pictures I did today in Idaho. It was foggy. The sun is
in the middle, therefore I did the pictures through the tree, so that
the sun brightness will not be overwhelming.
Unfortunately the pictures do not show up exactly how beautiful the
effect was. I am not an expert on optical effect, although I am a
physicist.

This might be glory effect - the refraction of light from the cloud or
fog, since there seems to be the fog covering the sky now. But this
might be also a corona effect - scattering of light by ice crystals at
21 degrees. One would think that it is too warm for ice crystals, but
we are talking about much higher altitudes on the cloud level. I
thought that this is more of the glory effect since the sky was darker
between the sun and the aureole, like it is in the rainbow between the
first and 2nd rainbow. Unfortunately, this effect is not seen on the
picture.
