GR was developed because Einstein saw inconsistencies between Newtonian
gravitation and SR. This ranks as one of the most amazing examples of
pure thought ever. That the resulting theory agrees with many

Huh? The FRW manifolds of GR, which are the basis of the big bang
cosmologies, all have a global "cosmological time" (which is what I
think you mean by "same time everywhere"). GR is not "killed" at all.

I repeat: you REALLY need to learn about GR before attempting to comment
on it. Ditto for Nimtz's experiments and their relationship to SR, GR,
classical electrodynamics, and QM.
