OnLive Adds 4 New Games to Their Service Including 3 PlayPack Titles

It’s Tuesday once again, and and that has come to mean one thing among OnLive gamers. It’s “OnLive Release Day”. Over the past few months, Tuesday mornings have become somewhat of a holiday for OnLive gamers. The cloud video game systems seems to use this day in order to release most of their new games.

Today, we saw 3 games added to the all-you-can-play OnLive PlayPack. The subscription service that costs users $9.99/month for unlimited access, to now 75 games, welcomed F.E.A.R. 3 Multiplayer, Potion Bar, and Super Granny 6.

The headliner here is the F.E.A.R. 3 Multiplayer which is the second AAA title that OnLive has released partially into the PlayPack. While the entire game of F.E.A.R. 3 isn’t available in the PlayPack, the multiplayer is. This is something a lot of OnLive users have been looking forward to since OnLive made the announcement that it was coming, last week. The multiplayer version allows gamers to use either a keyboard and mouse combination, or the OnLive gamepad.

Potion Bar, a game from Playrix, is a whimsical game filled with rainbows, vampire fangs, and talking cats. Your job in the game is as a bar tender at the “Potion Bar”, where a talking cat tells you how to mix drinks, and answers your questions. Reviews of the game have been surprisingly good. Players are limited to using their keyboard and mouse while playing this rather entertaining game, which is free to PlayPack subscribers.

Super Granny 6, is another rather entertaining game. This one is brought to OnLive by Sandlot Games, a publisher that seems to really be serious about the service. Super Granny 6 is their top rated game, out of a quite impressive library that they have. Playing as Super Granny, one of your favorite kittens wanders away, and accidentally falls into a hole. Super Granny ends up following her kitten into a long, winding, never-ending pit. Your job is to make your way through the underground world to save your kitten. The game actually has one of the funnier story lines you will ever see. This game is certainly worth a try, to anyone who likes the action adventure type. It is available to play with a keyboard and mouse combination, and is a single player game.

Sandlot Games also introduced another title to the OnLive service. However, this one was introduced as a PlayPass game. That means that it isn’t available in the $9.99/month PlayPack. It is a standalone game that can be purchased for $6.99 on OnLive. The game is called ‘Cake Mania: Lights, Camera, Action!’. The title, which is the 5th in a series of 6 games that are part of the Cake Mania series, is certainly worth the $6.99 price tag to those that like these types of games.
