Falcons sign former Tech WR Cone
Former Georgia Tech wide receiver Kevin Cone caught six passes as a senior and walked onto Georgia Tech after transferring from NAIA Shorter College, but the Falcons want him in their camp.
The Falcons have signed him as an undrafted rookie, according to the school. Cone, a St. Pius High grad and the son of former Tech player Ronnie Cone , started 10 games as a senior for the Jackets last fall. He reportedly ran a 4.37 40-yard dash at Tech’s pro day. Former Tech players from the 2010 team who were signed to training camp rosters now includes cornerback Mario Butler (Dallas), running back Lucas Cox (Falcons), linebacker Brad Jefferson (Buffalo), quarterback Joshua Nesbitt (Buffalo) and safety Jerrard Tarrant (N.Y. Giants). Baltimore selected running back Anthony Allen in the seventh round.
In defense of his spread-option offense as an avenue to the NFL, Tech coach Paul Johnson is fond of saying that NFL teams will find players if they can play, regardless of what offense or defense they play in college. While Cone’s chances of making the team or even the practice squad are presumably slim – the Falcons have 11 wide receivers on the roster – one would suspect Johnson will bring up Cone as an example with wide receiver prospects.
Before the insults start flying, Kevin actually has good size and good hands to go with his speed. GA tech, as everyone knows by now, just didn’t successfully complete passes in the last several years. He’s got a great work ethic as well. I’m not saying Kevin will make the roster, but maybe he’ll have a chance to stick with the practice squad.

Stroughter finished his OSU career third all-time in receptions and receiving yards [164 receptions, 2653 yards], but fell to the 233rd pick in the 2009 draft due to a slow 40-yard dash time (4.6). Not given much of a chance to make the team at the

I remember when I originally begun driving, car entertainment was listening to the radio. Nowadays the high-tech advances created in modern times have made cd players for vehicles, and now there are dvd players that fit into the dashboard. These dvd players even have built in navigation systems. Whatever happened to reading a map? While driving on long journeys like I had to. It was of course a bit inconvenient if you were driving on your own, as you had to pull over to investigate the map. These days with GPS receivers are built into most cars as standard. These systems have plenty of features, including eco route. This can save you bucks by programming the most economical route for you to take. Particularly today with the cost of fuel on the increase. This is a very convenient feature as everyone is looking to save bucks today. There is likewise another eco friendly feature on these systems, that estimate what your carbon dioxide emissions are.
They can also give you accurate reports, which once explored can give information of how to decrease the emissions of your motor by the way you drive. Now with all the talk of global warming, this is a really good feature. It seems virtually every government in the western world is attempting to cut down their carbon footprint. Hopefully shrinking the quantity of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
Some of these devices even speak the directions to you, I was amazed the first time I heard it. It took me a bit of getting used to, when I first had the kenwood dnx6960 fitted in my car. After several months of using it though, I wouldn’t be without it. It is a great deal easier to find my way around today and I can avoid all the traffic congestion. The excellent feature of the auto re-route permits me to divert to an alternate route when the system sees congestion on the programmed route. If you are on a tight schedule, this is terrific because it does it all automatically. Since I got this receiver I seem to get to all of my meetings on time. I was always having to call up the office before I had this system to tell them that I would be late as I was stuck in traffic.
I would positively recommend the dnx6960 system to anyone. It has really been a good convenience to me, and I haven’t used all of the functions on it yet. This model appears to have an enormous amount of functions. I was reading a summary yesterday and I’m going to have to get stuck in and find out the full ability of this navigation system.
